ARDUINO-UNO-R3
Description
MINIMUM TECH FEATURES:
- Micro-controller: ATmega328.
- Operating Voltage: 5V.
- Input Voltage (recommended): 7-12V.
- Digital I/O Pins: 14 (of which 6 provide PWM output).
- Analog Input Pins : 6
DESCRIPTION:
- The Arduino Uno R3 is powered by the ATmega328P microcontroller from Microchip Technology (formerly Atmel). This 8-bit AVR microcontroller operates at 5 V and includes 32 KB of flash memory for program storage, 2 KB of SRAM for runtime data, and 1 KB of EEPROM for non-volatile data storage.
- It runs at a clock speed of 16 MHz, allowing for efficient execution of instructions and smooth handling of input/output operations.
- The board provides 14 digital input/output pins, of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs, and 6 analog input pins. These pins can be programmed to interface with various sensors, actuators, and external electronic components.
- It features a USB Type-B interface for serial communication with a computer. This enables easy programming and communication using the Arduino IDE via a standard USB cable.
- The Arduino Uno R3 can be powered through the USB connection or an external DC power supply (recommended input: 7–12 V) via the barrel jack. A built-in voltage regulator converts the input voltage to the 5 V required by the board and its components.
- A reset button, located near the USB port, allows the user to restart program execution. Pressing this button resets the microcontroller and restarts the program from the beginning.
- The board includes headers for connecting external components and shields (add-on boards that expand its functionality). These headers provide access to power, ground, and communication lines such as SPI, I²C, and UART.
- Built-in LED indicators are provided for power (PWR), USB communication (RX and TX), and the digital pin 13 (L). These LEDs are useful for debugging and visual feedback during program execution.
