MQ-3 Alcohol Gas Sensor Module
Description
MINIMUM TECH FEATURES
- Operating Voltage: 5V
- Power Consumption: 0.75W
- Operating Temperature: -10°C to +50°C
- Detection Range: 0.04 mg/L to 4 mg/L Alcohol in air
- Response Time: ≤10 seconds
DESCRIPTION
- The MQ-3 Gas Sensor is designed for detecting alcohol vapors, with high sensitivity to ethanol.
- It outputs an analog voltage proportional to the alcohol concentration in the surrounding air.
- Many MQ-3 sensor modules also include a digital output using a comparator (e.g., LM393) with an adjustable threshold.
- Easy to interface with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
- Simple pinout: VCC, GND, AO, and sometimes DO (digital output).
- Features an internal heating element to maintain optimal sensing temperature.
- Provides rapid response and recovery, enabling quick measurement updates.
- Offers stable, long-life operation suitable for continuous monitoring.
- Commonly used in breath analyzers, automation, and alcohol detection systems.
