Description

MINIMUM TECH FEATURES

  • Operating Voltage: 5V
  • Power Consumption: 0.75W
  • Operating Temperature: -10°C to +50°C
  • Detection Range: 0.04 mg/L to 4 mg/L Alcohol in air
  • Response Time: ≤10 seconds

DESCRIPTION

  • The MQ-3 Gas Sensor is designed for detecting alcohol vapors, with high sensitivity to ethanol.
  • It outputs an analog voltage proportional to the alcohol concentration in the surrounding air.
  • Many MQ-3 sensor modules also include a digital output using a comparator (e.g., LM393) with an adjustable threshold.
  • Easy to interface with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
  • Simple pinout: VCC, GND, AO, and sometimes DO (digital output).
  • Features an internal heating element to maintain optimal sensing temperature.
  • Provides rapid response and recovery, enabling quick measurement updates.
  • Offers stable, long-life operation suitable for continuous monitoring.
  • Commonly used in breath analyzers, automation, and alcohol detection systems.
