IR-OBSTACLE-MODULE
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
1 × Infrared Obstacle Avoidance IR Sensor Module (Active Low)

IR-OBSTACLE-MODULE
Description
MINIMUM TECH FEATURES:
- Operating Voltage: 3.3V – 5V DC
- Current Consumption: 20–30 mA (typical)
- Detection Range: 2–30 cm (depends on surface reflectivity)
- Output Type: Digital (High/Low)
- Detection Angle: ~30–45°
- Adjustable Sensitivity via potentiometer
- Built-in power and obstacle-detection indicator LEDs
DESCRIPTION:
- The module consists of an IR LED emitter and an IR photodiode/phototransistor receiver.
- It detects obstacles by measuring the reflected infrared light from nearby objects.
- Integrated LM393 comparator provides stable, noise-filtered digital output.
- The onboard potentiometer allows sensitivity adjustment, enabling tuning based on object reflectivity and lighting conditions.
- The module provides Active LOW digital output, meaning the output goes LOW when an obstacle is detected.
- LED indicators allow easy debugging—Power LED (always ON) and Output LED (turns ON on detection).
- Ideal for line-following robots, obstacle-avoiding robots, automation, and proximity sensing.
