DESCRIPTION

  • This capacitive soil moisture sensor uses two conductive plates that act as a capacitor.
    When soil moisture varies, the dielectric constant of the soil changes, altering the capacitance value.
  • Higher moisture → higher dielectric constant → increased capacitance, which is converted into an analog voltage output.
  • Unlike resistive moisture sensors, this sensor is corrosion-free, resulting in a longer lifespan and reduced maintenance.
  • Offers stable and accurate moisture readings, even in diverse soil conditions.
  • Low power consumption makes it suitable for battery-powered or IoT applications.
