DESCRIPTION:
- The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is a popular and affordable device used for distance measurement and object detection.
- It works by emitting ultrasonic sound waves at 40 kHz from its transmitter. When these waves encounter an obstacle, they reflect back to the receiver.
- The sensor measures the time delay between transmission and reception of the ultrasonic pulse to calculate distance using the formula:
- Distance = (Time × Speed of Sound) / 2
- A 10 µs trigger pulse starts a measurement cycle, making it easy to use with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.
- Features low power consumption, stable operation, and high precision for indoor or outdoor use.
